Unique Ways to Decorate With Pumpkins this Fall Season

Pumpkins are an essential part of the Fall Season, and there are tons of different ways to put them to good use. Decorations is of course one of them! Many begin their Fall decorating in September, and continue to add some spooky touches well into the Halloween Season.

While picking your pumpkins, most of them look the same, besides differing in size and shape at times. But once you take them home and put your own touches on them, they can be transformed into anything you'd like! Whether you're carving them, painting some spooky scenery on some, or simply placing them on your front porch, they create the perfect feel of Fall! To begin, check out these fun and festive ways to use your pumpkins this Fall Season.

Transform Your Pumpkins Into Lanterns
This idea requires an electric drill and some carving, but we promise it's worth it! First, carve a circle in the top of your pumpkins, taking out the seeds so they are hollow inside. Once you have a good size opening at the top, carefully drill holes into the sides of your pumpkin, creating a design as you go. Once your masterpiece is finished, place a no-flame candle inside and watch as your new pumpkin lanterns illuminate the way to your front door!

Paint, Paint and More Paint
A simple yet great way to decorate your pumpkins - paint! Whether you're painting your pumpkin one color, or decorating each with a different design, using paint is a wonderful way to make your pumpkins stand out. The more creative you get, the more heads that will turn to take a peek! Take your pumpkin painting to the next level by using glow in the dark paint or chalkboard paint - this will surely add a cool touch and the chalkboard paint allows you to write some festive sayings on the pumpkins!

Pile Baby Pumpkins Into Jars
An easy and fast way to create gorgeous decor is by picking a bunch of baby pumpkins and placing them inside jars. Jars can be purchased at a local dollar store, and can differ in size and shape, allowing you to get as fancy as you'd like! Once your baby pumpkins are inside, turn the arrangement into a centerpiece for the dining room table, or as a festive addition to your Fall themed mantle!

Break Out the Glue
Get crafty with your pumpkins by first creating your masterpiece, and then gluing it to your pumpkins. Add a spooky touch by cutting black oak tag into bat shapes, witch hats, or black cats. Take it a step further and create an entire eerie scene and add in some trees and branches with tombstones. This is a great craft for the kids to participate in, too!

Carving, Of Course!
Last but certainly not least, carving! Probably one of the most popular ways to decorate with pumpkins - transforming them into spooky Jack-O'-Lanterns. Once your pumpkin is carved, place a flame-less candle inside and place on your porch to complete your creepy Halloween theme!

We hope our decor tips will help kick off your pumpkin decorating for the Fall Season. There are a ton of ways to get creative when it comes to pumpkin decorating, so put your thinking cap on and don't be afraid to let your creative thoughts run wild!
